Text Box: Shakur Wylie 7th March 1999-19th June 2006 “Thankful To God” Shak “picked” me at Longbenton cat & dog shelter on the 7th March 1999. I remember his description on his kennel was “ Bouncy” looking back I guess that kind of summed him up.   He was cruelly taken from me on June 19th 2006, at the age of 71/2 by Lymphoma.   This site is dedicated to the memory of my best friend, and also will hopefully help other people give rescue dogs like Shak another chance of a happy life they so deserve.   “People tell me to remember how lucky he was, & that I gave him a second chance...but they are wrong...I was the lucky one.”   Stephen Wylie. Text Box: “Safe Homes And Kindness” “A rescue for large breeds of dogs that are either mistreated, neglected or unwanted in our community. We deal only with dogs on death row, and for many we are their last chance. We help, rehabilitate and re-home the dogs, some of which have behavioural issues or health problems. The others are due to be killed for simply “falling out of fashion.” WE ALSO NEED YOUR HELP We desperately need funds to keep our animals in homes, until we find the right person to give them the second chance they deserve. As little as £5 keeps them safe for another day in a temporary home whilst they wait….. We are also always looking for Foster Homes, Fund Raising Ideas, and any other help that is offered!
